Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Nairobi → Maasai Mara
Your adventure begins at 7:30 am with a pick-up from your Nairobi hotel. Enjoy a scenic drive through the Great Rift Valley, pausing for stunning photo opportunities. Stop in Narok, the heart of Maasai culture, to explore local art and craft markets before continuing to your lodge.
After lunch, embark on your first thrilling afternoon game drive, tracking predators such as lions, cheetahs, leopards, and hyenas. Return for dinner and an overnight stay at your lodge.
Day 2: Full Day in Maasai Mara
Start with an early breakfast and head out for a full day of game viewing. Morning and afternoon drives, with a picnic lunch by the Mara River, immerse you in the park’s wonders.
If you visit between July and October, you’ll witness the Great Migration millions of wildebeests and zebras crossing crocodile-infested waters. Year-round, expect sightings of elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, waterbucks, and a variety of birds. Return to your lodge for dinner and rest.
Day 3: Maasai Mara → Lake Nakuru
After breakfast, enjoy a final morning game drive in Maasai Mara before departing for Lake Nakuru National Park. Upon arrival, check into your lodge and have lunch.
In the afternoon, explore the park spotting rhinos, lions, buffaloes, giraffes, and the famous flamingo-lined shores of Lake Nakuru. Dinner and overnight stay at your lodge.
Day 4: Lake Nakuru → Nairobi
Enjoy a morning game drive in Lake Nakuru, seeking out black and white rhinos along with flocks of flamingos. After lunch, depart for Nairobi, where your driver will drop you at your hotel or the airport.
