Golden monkeys can be found in Rwanda’s Volcanoes National Park, as well as in Uganda’s Mgahinga Gorilla National Park, which is located in the southern portion of Uganda in the Kisoro area. In Uganda, golden monkeys can be found in Mgahinga Gorilla National Park. Golden monkeys are social primates who live in groups of approximately 30 individuals and consume a variety of foods, including bamboo leaves, shoots, ripe fruits, and wild insects, amongst others. These monkeys are known for their high level of activity and joyful nature.

 

A briefing on the laws and regulations that must be followed during the golden monkey trekking safari experience in Mgahinga gorilla national park and Volcanoes national park begins very early in the morning. After the briefing, you will begin your safari into the forest by following paths made of bamboo shoots and leaves that have been left behind.
