Queen Elizabeth national park is the second biggest national park for wildlife. It is in the western part of Uganda, near Kasese district, in the Rubirizi district. Queen Elizabeth national park has a lot of different kinds of landscapes, such as bushland, savannah, wetland, and lush greenery. The park is 1,978 square kilometres big and was first called Kazinga national park when it opened in 1952. After Queen Elizabeth 11 visited the park, it was renamed Queen Elizabeth national park. About 95 types of mammals live in the park, including the “big four” (lions, leopards, buffaloes, and elephants), as well as hyenas, hippos, waterbucks, Oribi, and more. There are also over 600 types of birds.
Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park is one of Uganda’s oldest national parks. It has a diverse rainforest that was there more than 25,000 years ago and has about 400 plant types. Half of the world’s endangered mountain gorillas live in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The park is divided into 4 sectors: Buhoma sector, which is the oldest trekking sector, Rushaga sector, which has the most gorilla families, Ruhija sector, and Nkuringo sector. Some types of animals, like forest elephants and different kinds of antelopes, also live in Bwindi Forest. The park also has a lot of different bird types, some of which are only found in the Albertine Rift. This trip will begin and end in Kampala, which is the closest city to the airport in Entebbe. Both of these things can be done in the same park, which gives tourists a taste of Rwanda’s Volcanoes National Park since the only thing that separates the two parks is the border between the two countries. This park has the same Golden monkeys and Gorillas as Rwanda, but they are cheaper than those in Rwanda. Lake Bunyonyi is the largest lake in Uganda and East Africa. It is between 44 metres and 900 metres deep, and it is between 7 km and 25 km wide. Lake Bunyonyi is the best place to relax before heading back to your final stop at the end of your gorilla trekking safari. This trip begins and finishes in Kigali, Rwanda. To cut down on the time spent driving, it could be done from Kampala to the far south west of Uganda, near the borders of Katuna and Cyanika in Rwanda.
