4 days Uganda gorilla and wildlife safari whose beginning and end are in Kampala, Uganda. The safari will take you to the renowned Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home to the critically endangered mountain gorillas. A thrilling gorilla trekking safari where you get to spend an hour with mountain gorillas and a Batwa cultural tour where you can speak with the Batwa people who lived in the Bwindi forest before it was designated a national park are both available to you while you’re in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The four-day Uganda gorilla and wildlife safari will also take you to Queen Elizabeth National Park, where you can see a variety of animals during game drives and boat cruises on Kazinga Channel, including buffalo, elephants, waterbucks, Uganda kobs, bushbucks, warthogs, hippos, and crocodiles.

 Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park.

On the first day of 4 days Uganda gorilla and wildlife safari, depending on your arrival time at Entebbe International Airport, you will be greeted and welcomed by our driver guide who will give you a quick introduction of the safari before setting out for Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The drive takes between 9 and 10 hours using Kampala-Masaka-Mbarara road, and you’ll stop at the Equator along the way to snap pictures and buy trinkets. You will continue your journey from the Equator to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park with a stopover in Mbarara for lunch at Igongo cultural centre, from lunch you will embark on your journey with the endless spotting of the magnificent landscape until you reach the park, upon your arrival where you will check into the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi impenetrable national park.

 On the second day of four-day Uganda gorilla and wildlife safari begins when you get up early from the bed and be served with an early delicious breakfast. You will then carry your lunch box and meet your driver guide to travel to the park headquarters for a briefing on the guidelines and requirements for gorilla trekking. After the briefing, you will be split into eight groups of four, with each group being assigned a gorilla family to trek and a park ranger with expertise in mountain gorillas. Depending on where they are, gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park can last anywhere from 30 minutes to 7 hours. While trekking, you can also see forest birds, other primates including baboons and L’Hoest’s monkeys, as well as many plant and tree species. Once the mountain gorillas are located, you will be able to spend an hour with them, giving you the chance to learn more about their way of life, mannerisms, and habits. You may also snap pictures, observe them as they go about their daily business, and document these amazing experiences to share with others once you get home.

After a spellbinding encounter with the gentle giants, you will trek back to the park’s park headquarters where you will receive a certificate for taking part in gorilla trekking safari. You will then meet up with your guide to embark on an exciting Batwa cultural tour where you will have the opportunity to interact with the Batwa/pygmies, learn about their culture and way of life, visit their homesteads, and take in some of their traditional entertainments, among other things. You will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight after the cultural tour.

Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park and afternoon boat cruise.

 You will check out of the lodge on the third day of your four-day Uganda gorilla and wildlife safari after breakfast and meet your driver guide to travel to Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will have wonderful views of the countryside and stunning scenery while you travel, and when you arrive, you will check into the lodge in time for lunch.

You will embark on an exhilarating boat tour on the Kazinga channel, a stretch of water that connects Lake George and Lake Edward, after lunch. You can see hippos and Nile crocodiles in large groups while on the boat cruise, which lasts for about two hours. You can also see water birds like the martial eagle, papyrus gonolek, pelicans, hornbills, African skimmers, cormorants, African spoonbills, fish eagles, and king fishers among others, as well as fishermen setting up their fishing nets along the water banks. You will return to the lodge for a relaxing evening meal and overnight after the boat ride.

Day 4: Morning game drive/ lion tracking and departure to Kampala

 On the final day of your four-day Uganda gorilla and wildlife safari, you will have an early breakfast, check out of the lodge, and meet your driver guide to go on a morning game drive or lion tracking excursion in the Kasenyi plains. The enormous herds of elephants, buffalo, Uganda kobs, bushbucks, waterbucks, and warthogs that will be feeding on the open savannah plains as well as predators like lions and leopards, as well as a variety of bird species, will be seen throughout the game drive. You will leave the park after the game drive and begin the trip back to Kampala either using Mbarara or Fort portal route. You will stop for lunch along the way, then continue on to Kampala, where you will arrive in the evening. Your driver-guide will then either drop you off at Entebbe International Airport for your departing flight or at a location of your choosing.
