7 days Uganda gorilla and wildlife safari from Kigali is an intriguing safari that begins and concludes in Rwanda’s capital, Kigali. You will be taken on a safari to the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in the southwest of Uganda, where you will have the chance to see the critically endangered mountain gorillas and spend an hour with them there. Detailed itinerary.

Day 1: Pick up from Kigali and transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park,

Depending on where you are in Kigali, our representative will meet you and give you a quick introduction to the safari before setting off for Bwindi Impenetrable National Park on the first day of the 7-day Uganda gorilla and wildlife safari from Kigali. The travel takes between three and four hours, passing through the Cyanka or Katuna borders in Kisoro. You will have wonderful views of the countryside, terraced farmlands, and rolling hills along the way. You will proceed to the lodge for dinner, evening relaxation and overnight after entering the park. 

Day 2: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi impenetrable national park.

On the second day of the seven-day safari from Kigali to Uganda, wake up early in the morning and take hearty breakfast and you will carry a packed lunch, and your driver guide will pick you up from the lodge to drive you to the park headquarters for a briefing on the rules, procedures, and requirements for gorilla trekking. After the briefing, a gorilla family to trek and with a park guide who is familiar with the gorillas and the jungle’s routes will be assigned to you. Depending on where the gorillas are, gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park might take anything from 30 minutes to 7 hours. This is because gorillas tend to wander about in search of food. You will see creatures, including chimpanzees, L’Hoest’s monkeys, black-and-white colobus monkeys, and several bird species, while trekking. Once the gorillas have been located, you will be able to spend an hour with them in their habitat. During this time, you can observe their daily behaviors, such as feeding, nursing, and playing, as well as take amazing photos and video to share with family and friends back home. After your hour-long encounter with the gentle giants, you’ll make the voyage back to the park’s main office, where you’ll receive a certificate for taking part in gorilla trekking. Then, you’ll meet up with your driver guide to make the transfer to the lodge where you’ll spend the night and have dinner and rest in the evening.

Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park. 

On the third day of your seven-day Uganda gorilla and wildlife safari, which departs from Kigali, begins with breakfast. You then check out of the accommodation and meet your driver guide to make the transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park with the perfect views along the way. Upon your arrival in Queen Elizabeth National Park, you will check into your lodge and be served with Lunch. And meet to do the game drive through passing through Ishasha sector to see the tree climbing lions lying up in the branches of fig trees as you drive through the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park in the southern region of the park.  And other animal species in the park like the lions, buffaloes, Uganda Kobs, various bird species and many others. After the evening game drive go back to your lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.

Day 4: Morning game drive/ lion tracking and afternoon boat cruise.

On the fourth day of your seven-day Uganda gorilla and wildlife safari, you’ll eat breakfast before meeting your driver-guide to go on a morning game drive or lion tracking excursion in the Kasenyi plains. The enormous herds of elephants, buffalo, Uganda kobs, bushbucks, waterbucks, and warthogs that will be feeding on the open savannah plains as well as predators like lions and leopards, as well as a variety of bird species, will be seen throughout the game drive. You will go to the lodge for lunch after the game drive.

You will embark on an exhilarating boat tour on the Kazinga channel, a stretch of water that connects Lake George and Lake Edward, after lunch. You will return to the lodge for lunch after the game drive, at which point you will check out and begin the trip to Kibale Forest National Park. You will pass through beautiful scenery along route, including crater lakes, tea plantations, and more. When you arrive, you will check into the lodge for dinner and the night.

Day 6: Chimpanzee trekking and Bigodi swamp walk.

 On the seventh day of the seven-day Uganda gorilla and wildlife safari from Kigali, you will meet your driver guide and head to the Kanyachu Visitors Centre for a briefing on chimpanzee trekking after an early breakfast. You will be assigned a chimpanzee family to trek with and a park guide who is familiar with the forest’s routes after the briefing. Because they tend to roam from one spot to another in quest of food, chimpanzee trekking in Kibale Forest National Park might take anything from 30 minutes to 4 hours. Other primates, like the grey-cheeked mangabey, black-and-white colobus monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, and L’Hoest’s monkeys, as well as many bird species and vegetation, can be seen while hiking. Once the chimpanzees have been located, you will be given an hour to spend with them in their natural environment. After lunch, you’ll go on a fascinating swamp tour at Bigodi Swamp, where you may see a variety of birds, animals like sitatungas, and plants and trees, among other things. You will drive back to the lodge for dinner and the night after the swamp tour.

Day 7: Departure to Kigali.

You will enjoy a leisurely breakfast on the final day of your seven-day safari to Uganda’s gorillas and other wildlife from Kigali, checking out of the lodge and meeting your driver-guide to begin your return trip to Kigali. You will stop along the way for lunch, continue on to Kigali, and upon arrival, your driver-guide will drop you off at Kigali International Airport for your departure flight or at any other location they see appropriate.
