This is another place where people go on vacation in Tanzania. In the northern safari route, next to Serengeti National Park, is the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, which is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Ngorongoro is probably the best place to go if you want to do a whole tour in one place. It is also the world’s biggest crater, and it has been active for many years. The crater has a lot of different kinds of habitats, such as wetlands, forests, and savannah fields, which give guests beautiful views. It is home to more than 30,000 wild animals, like lions, elephants, black rhinos, giraffes, antelopes, and many others. At the edge of the crater, in the middle of nowhere, you can see the most beautiful things. The best time to go on a safari to Ngorongoro is from April to May, when the crater is lush and beautiful.
Lake Manyara National Park.

The park covers about 325 square kilometres, of which 230 square kilometres are taken up by the soda ash lake Manyara. Most of the southern part of the Park is made up of marshes, which dry up during the dry season and turn into lush steppes. You can go to Tarangire at any time of the year. But the best time to go is from June to November, when it’s dry and most of the animals come to the Tarangire River to drink.
Kilimanjaro National Park.

It is the biggest mountain in Africa and the highest freestanding mountain in the world. It is 5,895m above sea level. Nyerere national park.
The UNESCO World Heritage Site Nyerere national park, which used to be called Selous game reserve, is in southern Tanzania. It is the biggest protected area in Africa, with more than 50,000 square kilometres of forests, grasslands, open woodland, and mountains. The secret gem is about 219 kilometres from Dar-es-Salaam. Mahale Mountains National Park.
Located in the Mahale Mountains, the park offers genuine safari experiences especially if you are not a fan of big crowds. The park is in Kigoma area of Tanzania. It is on the eastern side of Lake Tanganyika. The main reason Mahale National Park was made was to protect the thousands of rare chimps that live in the area. It is known for many things, like the beautiful sunsets over Lake Tanganyika.
Mahale has a lot of different places for animals to live, such as grasslands, alpine bamboo, woodlands, and montane rainforests, which are home to more than 50 kinds of animals. Chimpanzees, vervet monkeys, red colobus monkeys, olive baboons, lions, and antelopes are some of these animals. Visitors to Mahale National Park can go on safaris, walk through the bush, and watch birds, hike and fish. The best time to go to the park is from July to October, when the weather is dry and big groups of chimps hang out by the lake.

It has a varied ecosystem made up of riverine grasslands, savannah grasslands, and baobab trees, which make for beautiful scenery.
At the same time, you can see predators like leopards, hyenas, jackals, crocodiles, and cheetahs ready to catch their prey. Also, Ruaha is the best place in Tanzania to look for the rare wild dogs. Anyone can go to the Park at any time of the year. But birdwatchers should go to the Park when it’s raining because that’s when the migrating birds are there.
Katavi National Park.
This is a remote archaic National Park located in Katavi region, Tanzania. Even though Katavi is less popular and harder to get to, it is a great place to go on safari. It is home to lions, leopards, spotted hyenas, wild dogs, and jackals, all of which are dangerous animals. In Katavi, predators are much more likely to be seen than other animals. Elephants, giraffes, cape buffaloes, zebras, reedbucks, sable antelopes, roan antelopes, impalas, and many other grazing animals live in this park.
Katavi has a river, which is where the park got its name, and two seasonal lakes called Katavi and Chada. These lakes are home to alligators and hippos of many different kinds. But because the park is so far away, there aren’t many places to stay. It has about four hotels and camps: Katavi Wildlife Camp, Mbali Mbali Katavi Lodge, Simply Saadani Camp, and Babs Camp. Still, the park can be seen at any time of the year, but it’s best to go between June and November, when animals gather around the few water sources.
Zanzibar and Tanzania Islands.
Staying on Tanzania’s Spice Island, Zanzibar, at the end of your vacation in East Africa will be the cherry on top. It’s the place to go in Tanzania for beautiful beaches and coral reefs, dhow (traditional boat) rides at sunset, and exploring smelly back-street markets. It’s a great place for families and couples on their honeymoons. Tanzania’s other islands in the Indian Ocean won’t let you down either. Pemba, Mafia, and Chole are the best places to go on a beach vacation. They have great dives, boutique hotels, and all the pampering you could want.
Mount Kilimanjaro.
Mount Kilimanjaro is a well-known mountain that will stir your soul whether you just want to stand in its shade or want to climb to its icy peak. At 5 895 metres (19,340 feet), it is the highest mountain in Africa and the highest mountain that stands alone on Earth. But the snow-covered hills are much easier to reach than you might think. If you climb Kili between July and October or January and March, when it is dry, you don’t need to know how to climb technically. But planning and carrying out a walk to the top of the mountain does take a lot of practical planning.
