4 days Aberdares and Samburu safari is a specially designed Kenya wildlife safari package that takes you to Aberdares National Park and Samburu National Reserve from Nairobi, the country’s capital. This safari package is ideal for travelers who enjoy wildlife and sight-seeing. As you travel to Aberdare National Park and Samburu National Reserve on your safari, you will be treated to beautiful biodiversity, Mount Kenya, Lenkiyo Hills, Mathew Ranges, and the vast plains of both parks’ national parks. You will also appreciate seeing some of the wildlife that make Aberdare and Samburu home, including lions, leopards, warthogs, cheetahs, eastern black rhinoceroses, and bush bucks and sighting the special five in Samburu National Reserve.

Day 1: Transfer to Aberdares national park.

Day 2: Transfer to Samburu national reserve.

Detailed itinerary. 

Day 1: Transfer to Aberdares national park. 

On the first day of 4 days Aberdares and Samburu safari.You safari guide will pick you from either Kenyatta International Airport or from any, depart Nairobi and travel to Aberdares National Park. En route, you’ll pass the lush green Kenyan highlands of the central province, coffee and pineapple plantations, and Kikuyu people going about their everyday lives. Arrive at your lodge or hotel in Aberdares National Park in time for lunch. Later, after lunch you’ll go on a game drive through the park to see a variety of animals, including lions, Eastern black rhinoceros, leopards, elephants, East African wild dogs, giant forest hogs, bushbuck, mountain reedbuck, waterbucks, cape buffaloes, suni, side-striped jackals, and eland duiker, among others. Return to your lodge later, eat dinner, and spend the night there.

Day 2: Aberdares – Samburu national reserve.

On the second day of 4 days Aberdares and Samburu safari. Wake up early in the morning and take breakfast. You will leave the park after breakfast at your lodge and drive to Samburu national reserve, which is located in Samburu Country along the banks of Ewaso Ng’iro River. En there, you will go on a game drive across the plains of Aberdares national park. Samburu National Reserve is also a habitat for elephants, black rhinos, leopards, spotted hyenas, olive baboons, black and white colobus monkeys, buffaloes, warthogs, impalas, hippos, cheetahs, kirk’s dik-dik, and bush bucks among other rare northern species like gerenuk, reticulated giraffe, Beisa Oryx, Somali ostrich, Grevy’s zebra.

Upon your arrival, check in your lodge in the reserve during lunch time. Later that day, go on an afternoon wildlife drive to see a variety of species and take in the area’s magnificent scenery. Return to your lodge later, take dinner, and overnight stay.

Day 3: full day in Samburu national reserve.

On the third day of 4 days Aberdares and Samburu safari. Get up early in the morning and take breakfast. After breakfast in the morning meet your safari guide and depart to the reserve for a full-day game drive that includes morning game drive and an afternoon game drive and your packed lunch. On this trip, you will have plenty of opportunity to explore the reserve’s breathtaking environment. The reserve boasts a healthy number of big game, including lions, elephants, leopards, Somali ostrich, Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, gerenuk and Beisa Oryx, hippos and crocodiles, which you will see in the open plains and along the banks of the Ewaso Ng’iro river while on a safari and spotting various bird species. The reserve is located to the north of Mount Kenya at the boundaries

After a picnic lunch on the banks of the Ewaso Nyiro River, you will proceed on another afternoon drive to further explore the reserve. After spending the entire day exploring the reserve, you will return to your lodge, have dinner, relax and overnight stay.

Day 4: Samburu national reserve – Nairobi.

 On the fourth day of 4 days Aberdares and Samburu safari. To increase your chance of seeing many animals, wake up as early as 6:00 a.m. for a cup of tea or coffee before heading to the reserve for an early morning game drive. Before it gets too hot for them to hide in the dense vegetation, animals are quite active and easy to detect. Lions, cheetahs, hyenas, leopards, and elephants are just a few of the animals that can be seen. Then return to your lodge for breakfast before leaving the park and returning to Nairobi. You will be dropped off at your hotel or the airport after the thrilling game drive.
