Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Pick-Up from Kigali – Transfer to Bwindi

Your guide will meet you in Kigali and brief you about your gorilla trekking adventure. Enjoy a scenic drive through Rwanda’s rolling hills, crossing into Uganda via the Cyanika border. On the way, marvel at Lake Bunyonyi, Uganda’s deepest and most beautiful lake.


Arrive at Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, check into your lodge, and relax. If time allows, take a community tour to meet the Batwa people and learn about their fascinating forest traditions.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi

After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing on gorilla trekking rules. You’ll be assigned to a group of up to 8 trekkers and led by experienced guides into the forest.

The trek can last anywhere from 30 minutes to 6 hours, but every step is worth it. Along the way, spot monkeys, rare birds, and exotic plants. Once you find your gorilla family, spend an unforgettable hour observing their behavior, taking photographs, and soaking in the magic of this rare encounter.

Return to your lodge for evening relaxation and a hearty dinner.

Day 3: Return to Kigali – City Tour

Enjoy breakfast before checking out. Your return journey to Kigali takes about four hours, but the adventure continues with a Kigali city tour. Visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial, a deeply moving site that honors Rwanda’s history and resilience. Continue to Kimironko Market to shop for African crafts, fabrics, and fresh produce.


After lunch, your guide will drop you at Kigali International Airport or your preferred location in the city.
