Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Fly to Maasai Mara & Afternoon Game Drive
After breakfast, our guide will pick you up from your Nairobi hotel or Jomo Kenyatta Airport. Then, you’ll transfer to Wilson Airstrip and fly to the Maasai Mara. Upon arrival, check in at your lodge and have lunch. Later, return to the park for an afternoon game drive where you may spot lions, leopards, cheetahs, herds of wildebeest, gazelles, and many bird species. Finally, enjoy dinner and an overnight at the lodge.
Day 2: Full-Day Game Drives & Maasai Village
Rise early for a sunrise game drive across the Mara’s plains; consequently, wildlife is most active and sightings are excellent. After a picnic lunch in the wilderness, spend the afternoon visiting a Maasai village. During the visit, meet local Maasai people, enjoy traditional songs and dances, and learn about pastoral life. Optionally, book a hot-air balloon ride for a breathtaking aerial view of the reserve (additional cost).
Day 3: Morning Game Drive & Fly Back to Nairobi
Begin with an early breakfast, then check out and enjoy a final game drive en route to the airstrip. Afterwards, fly back to Wilson Airport, Nairobi, where our guide will meet you and transfer you to your hotel or onward destination. Thus ends your 3-day Maasai Mara safari.
