Itinerary

Day 1: Kigali City Tour & Transfer to Bwindi

First, we’ll pick you up at Kigali International Airport or your hotel. Next, visit the Genocide Memorial to reflect on Rwanda’s history. Then, stroll Kimironko Market and haggle for fresh produce. After lunch, cross at Katuna border into Uganda. Finally, arrive at Bwindi in the evening for dinner and an overnight stay.

 

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi

Wake early for breakfast. Afterwards, head to the park headquarters by 7 AM for a ranger briefing. Then, trek up to six hours through lush forest to find a habituated gorilla family. Upon locating them, spend up to one hour observing these gentle giants. Finally, collect your gorilla trekking certificate and return to the lodge.

 

Day 3: Transfer to Nyungwe

Enjoy a hearty breakfast. Then, check out and depart for Nyungwe Forest—stopping en route for lunch and photo stops. The drive lasts about 7–8 hours. In the evening, settle into your lodge for dinner and rest.

 

Day 4: Chimpanzee Trekking & Return to Kigali

After breakfast, meet your guide at the park office for a briefing. Next, track chimpanzees as they leap and chatter—trekking lasts about three hours. Afterwards, return to Kigali, enjoy a quick city tour if missed on Day 1, then transfer to the airport for your onward flight.
