Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Nairobi → Nanyuki → Old Moses Camp (3,300 m)

Firstly, your guide picks you up in Nairobi. Next, you’ll drive to Nanyuki and meet the porters at Sirimon Gate. Then, embark on a 3–4 hour hike through picturesque landscapes to Old Moses Camp, where you’ll settle in for the night.

 

Day 2: Old Moses Camp → Shipton Camp (4,200 m)

After breakfast, set off on a 6–7 hour trek across moorland. Meanwhile, stop for lunch en route. Then, arrive at Shipton Camp—nestled beneath Batian, Nelion, and Lenana peaks—ready to relax under a blanket of stars.

 

Day 3: Shipton Camp → Lenana Peak → Old Moses Camp

Rise before dawn to begin your summit bid. In just 2–3 hours, you’ll navigate steep scree and rocky outcrops past Simba Col and Mintos Hut. Upon reaching Lenana Peak, pause for spectacular views of Lake Michaelson and the surrounding valleys. Afterwards, descend back to Old Moses Camp for a well-deserved rest.

 

Day 4: Old Moses Camp → Bandas → Nairobi

Finally, enjoy a 2-hour descent through lush forest and diverse wildlife. Once you reach the Mount Kenya bandas, your guide will drive you back to Nairobi, marking the end of your adventure.
