Day 1: Arrival & Transfer to Murchison Falls

Upon touching down at Entebbe Airport, our friendly guide will greet you and outline the exciting days ahead. Then, you’ll head northwest through lush countryside. En route, visit Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for an unforgettable close-up with rhinos. After a leisurely lunch in Masindi, continue to Murchison Falls National Park. Finally, ascend to the crest of the falls to witness the Nile’s dramatic plunge. Enjoy dinner and overnight at your lodge.

Day 2: Morning Game Drive & Nile Launch Cruise

Early risers will relish a guided game drive, where you’ll spot elephants, lions, giraffes, and Uganda kob. After lunch back at the lodge, embark on a scenic boat cruise along the Nile. Consequently, you’ll encounter hippos, crocodiles, and myriad bird species gathering at the riverbanks. Return for dinner and a restful night at Fort Murchison Lodge.

Day 3: Journey to Kibale Forest

After breakfast, depart Murchison Falls and drive south toward Kibale National Park. Along the way, pause for lunch in Hoima or Kagadi. Meanwhile, admire the rolling hills and local villages. You’ll arrive at Kibale by evening, check into your lodge, and enjoy dinner amid the sounds of the tropical forest.

Day 4: Chimpanzee Trekking & Transfer to Queen Elizabeth

Following an early breakfast, you’ll trek into Kibale’s emerald canopy in search of chimpanzee families. Moreover, you’ll spend up to one hour observing these charismatic primates in their natural habitat. Afterwards, drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park, stopping to explore the Amebere Caves and admiring crater lakes against the Rwenzori Mountains backdrop. Arrive for dinner and overnight at your lodge.

Day 5: Game Drive & Kazinga Channel Cruise

Begin with a dawn game drive across the open savannah, where buffalo, elephants, antelope, and abundant birdlife await. Subsequently, enjoy lunch on the Mweya Peninsula. In the afternoon, cruise the Kazinga Channel to witness hippos wallowing, crocodiles basking, and tropical birds in flight. Conclude with dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 6: Transfer via Ishasha to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

After breakfast, journey south through the Ishasha sector renowned for its rare tree-climbing lions. Thereafter, continue to Bwindi, pausing in Kabale for lunch and panoramic hill views. Day 7: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi

Rise early for a hearty breakfast and a briefing at the park headquarters. Then, trek through dense forest in search of a habituated gorilla family. As you draw near, you’ll spend a precious hour photographing and observing these gentle giants. Afterwards, return to your lodge for dinner and well-deserved rest.

Day 8: Border Crossing to Ruhengeri (Musanze)

Enjoy a relaxed breakfast before crossing into Rwanda via Cyanika or Katuna border posts. En route, stop for lunch and admire the highland vistas. By evening, arrive in Ruhengeri, check into your hotel, and unwind over dinner.

Day 9: Volcanoes National Park – Gorilla & Golden Monkey Trek

Early morning, head to Volcanoes National Park for another gorilla trekking adventure or opt to track the playful golden monkeys. Depending on their movements, the trek lasts 30 minutes to six hours, culminating in a special certificate presentation. Finally, return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 10: Kigali City Tour & Departure

On your final morning, drive to Kigali for a concise city tour visiting key cultural and historical sites. Thereafter, transfer to Kigali International Airport for your homebound flight, carrying memories of two nations’ most extraordinary wildlife encounters.
